Voice bookkeeping for Nigerian traders

Just talk am. Your book remembers.

In Balogun, in Kurmi, in Onitsha, you already say it out loud: “Mama Tunde take two bags, she go pay Friday.” TradeVoice hears it, writes it down, and asks you one small thing. Na so?

A phone number and a 6-digit code. No long forms. No card.

₦45,000

The old way

Every trader keeps a second market in their head.

Who owes you. How much. Since when. You carry it all, and you carry it well, until the day you can’t.

Notebooks get wet. Pages get torn. A customer says, “Ah, I thought I paid.” And on the evening you want a loan, the bank asks the one thing paper cannot answer: show me your records.

TradeVoice is the notebook that listens.

How it works

Talk am. Check am. Send am.

“I sell Mama Tunde two bags of rice for forty-five thousand, she go pay Friday.”

  1. Talk am

Hold the mic, or send a WhatsApp voice note the way you would tell a friend. English, Pidgin, Yorùbá, Hausa or Igbo. No typing, no forms.

  2. Check am

It shows what it heard in plain words: the amount, the customer, the date. If it is not sure, it says so, and you fix only that part.

  3. Send am

Reminders and receipts are ready-made drafts. You press send. TradeVoice never talks to your customers behind your back.

What you get

Everything the notebook did. Nothing it couldn’t.

Voice in, records out

Names, bags, naira and “she go pay Friday”. It gets all of it, the way you say it.

Reminders you send

A polite message with a pay link, ready to go. Your name on it, your decision.

A pay page they trust

No app, no login. Card, transfer or USSD, and the money lands in your book.

Ask your book

“How much did I get today?” You get a number and how it was worked out. If it cannot calculate, it says so.

Scan your old notebook

Photograph a page. Fix the lines it is not sure about. Save what you tick, and the years of notebook come with you.

A day with TradeVoice

Chioma isn’t real. Her Tuesday is.

Before the first customer

Her phone says: “Good morning. Three people owe you today.” She knows where to start.

Mama Tunde takes two bags on credit

Chioma holds the mic: “Mama Tunde, two bags, forty-five thousand, Friday.” The reply: “I understood ₦45,000.” One tap, and the customer is still talking.

The network drops

She keeps selling. A small label says Offline. Every entry is kept, and sent when the bars come back.

Friday comes early

A polite reminder is ready. She reads it, presses send herself, and soon: “Mama Tunde just paid ₦12,000.”

At home, one question

“Who is late?” One name. One number. Chioma sleeps.

On WhatsApp

Already in your pocket. Already in your hand.

Most traders will never download another app, and they shouldn’t have to. TradeVoice answers inside WhatsApp, in short messages with buttons you can press with one thumb.

Our promises

Your book. Your word. Your call.

It tells you when it’s unsure

If it didn’t catch the amount, it asks. No guessing with your money.

It never speaks for you

Reminders, receipts and statements are drafts. Only you press send.

It reads in sunlight

Big numbers, strong contrast. Money in and money out use words and arrows, not just colour.

It works when the network doesn’t

Offline, it keeps your entries and sends them when you reconnect.

For lenders and loans

When the bank asks, you have an answer.

Share a one-page report of your trading: money in, customers, what is owed. Phone numbers are masked, it is ready to print, and it stops working on the day you choose.

Questions

Straight answers.

Do I need to sign up?

Briefly. A WhatsApp number, a 6-digit code and a password you choose. No email, no card, no long forms. It takes about a minute.

What if I forget my password?

Reset it in a minute with a code on WhatsApp or email. When you do, we log you out of your other phones.

Can I change my number or business details?

Any time, in your profile. Changing your number needs a fresh code, so nobody else can take over your book.

Will it message my customers?

Never on its own. TradeVoice prepares reminders and receipts as drafts, and you press send.

What if it hears me wrong?

You see exactly what it understood before anything is saved. The parts it is unsure about are highlighted, so you change only those.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, for recording. Entries are kept on your phone and sent when you are back online. A small Offline label tells you what is happening.

Which languages does it understand?

English, Pidgin, Yorùbá, Hausa and Igbo, by voice, by text, or from a photo of your notebook.

Can I lock it?

Yes. Choose your own PIN, hide amounts on screen, and if you forget the PIN you can get back in through WhatsApp.

Go on. Tell it your first sale.
